Reason Behind The Ribbon
In 2008, one of my closest friends found his family face to face with breast cancer when his wife was diagnosed. I knew how devastating cancer could be until the day I shaved all her hair off. It was at that point I decided to make some changes; everything surrounding M&D Paving, down to our logos reflect the pink ribbon of breast cancer.
In 2011 another family friend received news that their daughter was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). That is when we added the gold ribbon to represent childhood cancer.
The stories of both Rebecca Fitzgerald and Jordan Hammond are included in this packet.
Today we at M&D Paving are proud to say that we are a Gold Sponsor of the American Cancer Society and we donate a portion of every project to cancer research.
